Hi, it’s Aadi. I’m so excited to be talking to Myrria from The Palace of the Twelve Pillars series by Christina Weigand. She’s a…well, I’ll let her tell you.
[Aadi] Who or what are you? What are your vitals?
[Myrria] I am a female dragon, suspected to be a couple hundred years old, no one really knows.
[Aadi] What part do you play in the story?
[Myrria] I am one of Asha’s nine guardian dragons and I attempt to guide the princes and their families in the ways of Asha.
[Aadi] How would you describe your book?
[Myrria] Twin princes Joachim and Brandan come of age and are thrust into adulthood as they enter a world torn apart by war, kidnapping and betrayal.
As the twins are crowned Kings of Mahorg and Crato, and wed to powerful women, each will deal with the loss of their parents in his own unique way. The choices each makes will set their world on a cataclysmic course that only loss and sacrifice can deter.
Is their love and faith strong enough to see Joachim and Brandan through the veil of evil blanketing the land, or will it fail and be left to their children to save?
[Aadi] Tell me about where you live? Who do you live with?
[Myrria] I live in the volcanoes ringing the Sanctuary of Nine Dragons, where when Asha calls his Guardian Dragons we gather. The mountains and sanctuary are beyond the borders of Crato and Imherp and protected by magical shields put there by Asha.
[Aadi] What’s the most important thing in your life right now?
[Myrria] To protect Brandan and Joachim from the evil that is creeping across the land.
[Aadi] What do you like or dislike about the other characters from your book?
[Myrria] I love the faith that humans have in Asha. They continue to hope and pray even when things seem their bleakest. On the other hand some of them can also lack faith and hope and place their belief in the evil that haunts all of us.
[Aadi] Okay, last question. Who would play you in the movie?
[Myrria] Cate Blanchett would do my voice, and this is what I would look like:
