Ah, Valentine’s Day. When couples in love set aside time to celebrate chopping off heads and burying their enemies.
Ummm…I mean taking time out of their usual hectic schedule to spend some time with each other (gifts are optional, but recommended).
This year I will be celebrating Valentines Day with my husband on Saturday. We have to do it later because work and volunteer activities are already scheduled. Whether it’s Thursday or Saturday makes little difference to us.
What do we have planned? Nothing really. We’ll probably put away more things. (Moving really bites.) And then go out for…I don’t know…maybe Indian Food. We haven’t gone to Shahi Palace in quite a while. And maybe camp out on the couch with an old movie. Valentines Day doesn’t have to be anything elaborate.
I hope all the couples out there have a wonderful time. Spend a little time together, remember why you fell in love in the first place.
If you’re single, Valentine’s Day is for you too. It’s not just about celebration for couples. Show a little self-love and spend some time pampering yourself. Curl up with a book, eat out with friends, complain about Valentine’s Day, you know, something fun.
