Preview of 2017

2017 is looking to be a busy busy year. It seems that the more I go along, the more things I pick up to do.

Book Covers

There are still a number of covers in the works for several different authors.

This month, Live and Let Bite by Declan Finn will be debuting with a cover I did. I think it’s one of the best covers I’ve done so far.

Path of Angels will be finished this year. I am getting close to having rewrites done and then off to beta readers. Projected release date – March

Relic Hunter is the next book up. That one I hope to have out for this year’s Dragon Awards. We’ll see.

Dark Court is also in the works. This is a joint effort by Declan and I. Urban Fantasy meets Irish Mythology is the best way I can think to describe it. Odd is the other.

Once I get these three done, then I’ll figure out which of the ten or so waiting in the cue that I’ll work on.

I am prepping for a number of cons this year.

DemiCon (Des Moines) May 5-7th – I will be presenting Book Cover Basics for Indie Authors

Siouxper Con (Sioux Falls) May 12-14th

Liberty Con (Chattanooga) June 30-July 2

O Con (Council Bluffs) July 7-9

Catholic Writers Conference Live (Chicago)

Dragon Con (Atlanta) Sept 1-4

I know that looks like a heavy schedule, but we’ll see how many I actually get to. Dragon Con is a definite, regardless of whether I go as a guest or attendee. My arrangements are already paid for. The rest are flexible.

Mine. I am starting up a random newsletter that I’ll send out with info that I think my readers might enjoy, plus book cover design tips. The first issue will come out sometime this month.

#B4CT News & Reviews. This is a joint venture with several other authors. It is a theme newsletter for people interested in YA books for Catholic teens.

  1. Thou Shall have posts up on a consistent basis.
  2. Thou Shall not procrastinate (as much as usual).
  3. Thou Shall promote myself (even if I hate doing so).
  4. Thou Shall watch more TV.
  5. Thous Shall write more.

I think that should be good. Those are going to hard to accomplish.
