Giving Thanks

It’s another holiday. Oh yay.

I don’t get too excited about holidays anymore, because frankly my dogs don’t give a crap what day it is. And since I spend most holidays with just them, I usually work.

And by work, I mean sit around and catch up on my reading or write or draw. Nothing approaching real work. Maybe go stroll around Walmart looking at all of the stuff I’m not going to buy.

Yes, I lead such an exciting life.

My day of thanks will be Friday when I’m busy volunteering my time on activities that help others.

But, tomorrow and every day:

I’m thankful that I have the ability to do such things.

I’m thankful for all the family and friends both online and off who make it worth getting out of bed.

I’m thankful for Brenda who is always there for me, no matter what.

I’m thankful for Declan who keeps me busy and answers my stupid questions.

I’m thankful for Marina for rooming with me at next year’s DragonCon.

I’m thankful for Cinder Writer’s Groups for letting me.

I’m thankful for all of the people who have entrusted me to do their book covers and other graphics.

I’m thankful for my two crazy dogs who hog my bed and make life interesting.

I’m thankful I still can do most everything that I want to do.

I’m thankful that I still have most of my original parts and they still passably work.

I’m thankful that I have things that some only dream about, plentiful food, clean water, and a safe place to sleep each night.

I’m thankful that I was given so many talents that can be used to help others.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving everyone and I’ll be back next week.
