Next week I am heading to Philadelphia. This trip isn’t all fun like last year’s trip to NYC. I’m going to the National Diaper Bank Conference. It’s more exciting than it sounds. Or at least I hope so. It’s part of my volunteer activities with Mary’s Choice. After two years I finished the process for membership in the National Diaper Bank Network.
Diaper Banks help provide free diapers to families in need. Mary’s Choice does so much more than just diapers. You can check out the site if you’d like.
The Conference will allow me and the director to network with other diaper banks in the US and learn about fundraising and marketing and other useful stuff.
Fortunately our flight to come home doesn’t leave until late afternoon on Saturday so we’ll get to do a bit of site seeing while we’re there. Our hotel is just a few blocks from the Liberty Bell and the Cathedral and a bunch of other places. I have no idea how much I’ll get to see in the short time we’ll have to do stuff, but it will be fun regardless.
I will be taking pictures of everything as usual. And hopefully I’ll have some time to work on my writing while I’m out there.
Declan Finn has 2 new books out next week on the 28th (my birthday) that I finished covers for.
The first is an audio edition of Sad Puppies Bite Back.
The second is a sequel to Codename: Winterborn – Codename: Unsub
