I fear my thumbdrive is lost forever. Which, means everything I wrote for Nanowrimo is gone. It just kills me that I have to start all over. But, on the bright side, I did discover that a backed up of everything on my laptop through the end of October. So I am very relieved that I didn’t lose everything.
2013 is going to be a great year. I was planning to have my Nanowrimo novel ready by the Catholic Writer’s Guild Online Conference so that I could pitch it to editors, but that isn’t going to happen now. I would have needed to have the rough draft finished by the end of this year in order to have enough time for rewrites and a couple coats of polish.
So, I am going to set that aside in order to finish up (or rather restart, since this was also lost) the 2nd edition of 100 of the Best Free Online Learning Links for Parents, Teachers & Students. The plan is to have this available on Kindle by the end of January. This project takes much less time to write and doesn’t require all of the messy continuity & writing from scratch that my novel does.
In May, I have an article coming out in Fun 4 Kids magazine. I can’t wait to see it.
In between finishing up the 100 Best and rewriting my novel, I will be working on my mega long to-do list of queries, copywriting for clients, and website maintenance.
I have got my work cut out for me next year…
