She kicked back in the chair, sweeping her glass in one hand, and holding onto the picture in the other. \u201cNice lookin\u2019 fella.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n Amanda squeezed her eyes shut, as though to clear them. The conversation was a little\u2026 surreal. She wasn\u2019t exactly up on \u201cgirl talk.\u201d Maybe it had to do with being Russian. Perhaps it had to do with being a vampire. Perhaps Bosley was just strange. \u201cHe is. Little on the young side, though.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n Bosley gave her an amused glance. \u201cListen, mate, when you reach, well, our general age, human age doesn\u2019t exactly count for much. Know what I mean? Forty, twenty, makes little difference after you hit the first century mark. See what I mean?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cPerhaps.\u201d Amanda looked off to the side. \u201cI wouldn\u2019t know. My life has been very\u2026 quiet for a vampire, I suppose.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n Bosley nodded sagely. \u201cI know how that can be. For the first few weeks, I was like that all the time.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n \u201cI\u2026 found a job.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n Bosley looked at her. \u201cReally? Well, then, I can only imagine how that went.\u201d She looked back to the pic of Marco. \u201cYou really have a nice fella here. Five-nine, right? Dancer type, if the pic\u2019s any indication.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n \u201cMartial arts,\u201d Amanda supplied. \u201cMuch the same.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n \u201cTrue. Blond, with an Italian last name? Northern Italy, I\u2019m guessing.\u201d Bosley grinned. \u201cLike I told him, if anything happens to you, I\u2019ll be happy to take him in.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n Amanda tried not to laugh. \u201cBe careful. He might just take you in.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n \u201cIndeed.
