Honor At Stake by Declan Finn

Chat With Marco Catalano

About

Hi, Aadi here. Mischa and I finally convinced Marco, with the assistance of both his father and Amanda, to answer a few questions about himself and the book he’s staring in, Honor At Stake by Declan Finn.

Sorry. He wasn’t very happy about doing this, so I had to replace a few words here and there. They are in {brackets}.

[Mischa] Who or what are you? What are your vitals? (age, sex, species)

[Marco] Marco Catalano. PA (Physician’s Assistant) student. 5’9” Sex: No thank you.

[Mischa] What part do you play in the story?

[Marco] Male lead.

[Mischa] How would you describe your book?

[Marco] People pi….

[Aadi] Marco. I can’t write that.

[Marco] Fine. It’s a vampire romance.

[Aadi] Oh, like in Twilight?

[Marco give Death Glare]

[Aadi] Umm…please don’t kill me.

[Marco] No promises.

[Mischa] Tell me about where you live? Who do you live with?

[Marco] I live in Brooklyn, where only the strong survive.

[Mischa] What’s the most important thing in your life right now?

[Marco] Surviving college and a vampire invasion. But mostly college.

[Mischa] What do you hope nobody ever finds out about you?

[Marco] I don’t have the time to write that list. The short version is that I never follow my heart. Because what I have in my heart will get me halfway to Hell. Acting on them will get me the rest of the way.

[Aadi] Tall blond and dangerous? Huh? I like that.

[Mischa] Seriously, Aadi? Could you please not drool?

[Marco] You two have issues, don’t you?

[Mischa] What do you like or dislike about the other characters from your book?

[Marco] They’re stupid. Not Amanda, obviously, but everyone else is just too stupid to live. Okay, I can think of one or two people. Maybe the Vatican ninjas. Some of the cops. But otherwise, I feel like I’m living in a world of goldfish.

[Mischa] In your opinion, what is your best feature?

[Marco] My brain.

[Mischa] What’s the worst thing someone ever did to you?

[Marco] Well. being labeled a monster in the last year of High School wasn’t particularly fun.

[Aadi] How mean.

[Mischa] What’s the worst thing you’ve done to someone?

[Marco] Depends, is murder better or worse than torture?

[Mischa] I think both could land you in Hell.

[Mischa] Read any good books? What were they?

[Marco] Mostly textbooks for my courses. Though I memorized them the first week. I’ve moved on to Monster Hunter International, by Larry Correia. Research, you see.

[Mischa] What type of places do you hang out in?

[Marco] College, home, and wherever the prey takes me.

[Mischa] What annoys you more than anything else?

[Marco] Stupid people.

[Aidi] What’s the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen?

[Marco] Amanda Colt. Tell her that and I hurt you.

[Mischa] She won’t here it from us.

[Aidi] What time of day is your favorite?

[Marco] Night.

[Aidi] What kind of weather is your favorite?

[Marco] Spring. When it’s just right and you can get a warm breeze without sweating your {backside} off.

[Aidi] Do you have any pets? Do you want any pets? What kind?

[Marco] I have two street gangs who can’t tie their own shoes without me. So yes.

[Aidi] If you could change anything in your book, what would it be and why?

[Marco] I wish she loved me.

[Aadi] Awww

[Mischa] Who would play you in the movie version?

[Marco] Give Asa Butterfield a dye job and am exercise regiment, he’ll do. He can at least act.

[Aadi] It was a pleasure chatting with you, Marco. I’ve heard rumor that we’ll be reading about you in future novels. Can we chat again when they come out?

[Marco] Sure. Why not?
